These Brussels sprouts get a tangy-sweet glaze after air frying for extra flavor. The balsamic glaze is made on the stovetop while the sprouts cook to prevent burning. This recipe includes all glaze ingredients and timing.

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

For the balsamic glaze (toss after cooking):

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter

This variation is self-seasoned
  1. 01Toss halved sprouts with oil, salt, and pepper. Place flat-side down.
  2. 02Ready for the air fryer.
  3. 03While cooking, simmer the balsamic vinegar, honey, and butter in a small saucepan until it reduces to a thick, syrupy glaze. About 3 minutes. It should coat the back of a spoon.
  4. 04Toss the hot sprouts with the glaze.
  5. 05Top with cranberries, cheese, and nuts.
The glaze is made on the stove, not in the air fryer. Balsamic vinegar in the air fryer smokes and splatters and the sugar in the honey burns. Three minutes in a saucepan while the sprouts cook gives you a thick, glossy glaze that clings to every charred surface. This is a Thanksgiving-level side dish that takes 15 minutes total.
