Air frying cherry tomatoes intensifies their sweetness and makes them burst with flavor. It's quick, easy, and requires minimal effort for a side dish or snack. This recipe uses just a handful of ingredients and takes only minutes in the air fryer.

  • 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, Italian seasoning
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced (optional)

  1. 01Wash and dry the tomatoes. Leave them whole.
  2. 02Toss with oil and seasoning.
  3. 03Ready for the air fryer.
  4. 04Some will burst during cooking. That's correct. The juices caramelize and concentrate the flavor.
Don't cut them in half. Whole tomatoes hold their juice inside until they burst from the heat, which concentrates the flavor inside the tomato. Halved tomatoes release their juice immediately and you end up with dried-out tomato skins. The burst is a feature, not a bug.
