Air-fried mushrooms are an easy side dish with a rich, browned flavor in just minutes. The air fryer's circulating heat prevents steaming and encourages browning. Inside, you'll find the base recipe, ingredients, timing, and serving suggestions.

8 oz mushrooms (cremini, button, or a mix)
1 tablespoon oil

Steps
01Clean the mushrooms by wiping with a damp paper towel. Don't rinse under water. They absorb it like sponges.
02Slice thick, about 1/4 inch. Thin slices shrivel to nothing.
03Toss with oil, salt, and pepper.
04Ready for the air fryer.
Mushrooms are 90% water. As they cook, they shrink to about half their original size. This is normal. Start with more than you think you need. The air fryer is actually ideal for mushrooms because it drives off the water faster than a pan, giving you deeply browned, intensely flavored mushrooms without the soggy, steamed phase.
