Butternut squash cubes are a simple, healthy side dish when air fried. The air fryer gets them tender on the inside and browned on the outside. This recipe shows you how to cube the squash, season it, and cook it perfectly.

Steps
01Peel the tough outer skin with a vegetable peeler. Cut in half, scoop out the seeds.
02Cut the flesh into 1-inch cubes. Uniform cubes cook evenly.
03Toss with oil and seasoning.
04Ready for the air fryer.
The neck of the butternut squash (the long, straight part) is all solid flesh and easy to cube. The bulb (the round bottom part) has seeds and is harder to work with. Cut the neck and bulb apart first, then process each separately. The neck is easier and yields more usable cubes.
