Wearing gloves, peel the taro root and dice into 1-inch cubes.
Toss the cubes with oil and a generous pinch of seasoning.
Place in the air fryer basket in an even layer.
Cook for 16 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously halfway through.
Pierce with a fork to ensure they are fluffy inside before serving.
