Breaded oysters get crunchy on the outside and stay tender on the inside when air fried. A mix of cornmeal and panko breadcrumbs creates the ideal texture. This recipe shows you how to dredge and cook the oysters to golden-brown perfection.

Steps
01Drain the oysters and pat each one dry with paper towels. Gentle. They're delicate.
02Mix the cornmeal, panko, and all seasonings in a shallow bowl.
03Set up the station: flour, egg, cornmeal mixture.
04Dredge each oyster in flour, dip in egg, then press gently into the cornmeal mixture. Coat all sides but don't squeeze.
05Place on a plate. Let sit for 5 minutes to set.
06Ready for the air fryer.
The cornmeal and panko mix gives you two textures: the cornmeal provides crunch and the panko provides structure. All cornmeal crumbles off. All panko doesn't get crunchy enough. The combo is the move.
