This sweet take on monkey bread is all about the cinnamon sugar coating and a brown sugar glaze. The glaze forms on the bottom of the pan during cooking and coats the bread when flipped. Get the recipe and air frying instructions here.

  1. 01Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  2. 02Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. 03Toss each dough piece in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
  4. 04Grease the pan with the extra tablespoon of butter. Sprinkle brown sugar on the bottom (this becomes the glaze when you flip it).
  5. 05Layer the coated dough pieces in the pan.
  6. 06Pour any remaining melted butter and cinnamon sugar over the top.
  7. 07Ready for the air fryer.
  8. 08Let cool 3 minutes, then invert onto a plate. The brown sugar creates a sticky, caramel-like coating.
The brown sugar on the bottom of the pan is the secret. It melts during cooking and becomes a sticky glaze that coats everything when you flip it out. Without it, you just have cinnamon sugar biscuit balls. With it, you have monkey bread.
