Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Form the ground bison into patties, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Press a small dimple into the center of each patty.
Season generously on both sides.
Place in the basket and cook for 5 minutes.
Flip the burgers and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
Add cheese if desired during the last minute of cooking.
