This flatbread is quick and easy, no yeast required. It's more like a thick tortilla or Greek pita. The recipe, including ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and air frying times, is on this page.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon warm water (add more if needed)

  1. 01Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. 02Add yogurt, olive oil, and water. Stir until a dough forms. Knead briefly, about 1 minute, until smooth. This is a quick dough with no yeast, so don't overwork it.
  3. 03Divide into 4 pieces. Roll each into a thin round or oval, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
  4. 04Ready for the air fryer. Cook one at a time for best results.
  5. 05Top after cooking with whatever you like: hummus, za'atar and olive oil, labneh, roasted vegetables.
This is not a yeasted bread. It's more like a thick tortilla or a Greek pita. It cooks fast, puffs slightly, and gets lightly charred spots from the air fryer. The simplicity is the point. Don't add herbs or garlic to the dough. Keep the base neutral and put the flavor on top.
