Baked pears are a simple dessert that's even easier in the air fryer. Brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg create a warm, comforting flavor. You'll find the recipe, air frying instructions, and tips for selecting the right pears here.

  • 2 firm pears (Bosc or Anjou, not Bartlett, which collapses)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  1. 01Cut the pears in half lengthwise. Scoop out the core and seeds with a spoon or melon baller.
  2. 02Brush the cut side with melted butter.
  3. 03Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. 04Ready for the air fryer, cut-side up.
Bosc pears hold their shape under heat. Anjou works too. Bartlett pears turn to applesauce. Comice pears are too juicy. If you're not sure what kind you have, press the neck near the stem. Firm means it's good for baking. If it gives easily, eat it raw and pick a firmer one for the air fryer.
